The Executive Committee of the Global Policy Forum for Nepal (GPFN) has made a decision to expand its membership and would like to encourage all individuals around the world, willing to work with and contribute to the Forum, to send a short letter of interest expression and CV via http://www.gpfnepal.org/contact/ or email>firstname.lastname@example.org>for the following categories of membership:
(i) Fellowship: From bona fide academician, holding a Doctoral degree with full or affiliated university position.
(ii) Professional Experts: Professionals, working outside the academic field, whose expertise can strengthen the Forum in its debate and formulation of policy decisions. They may be co-opted on to Expert Advisory Panels for a maximum term of 4 years, or used on an ad-hoc basis for selective advice.
(iii) Student Membership: Must be enrolled in a Doctoral research or Masters course with support from supervisor. May apply for full Fellowship after formally completing the Doctoral degree.
(iv) Affiliates Membership: Others may apply for Affiliate Membership for their valuable assistance with Logistics/Administration and Technical IT skills, all of which are necessary to make GPFN function effectively.
(v) The annual membership fees are as follows:
Executive Member $ 500
Fellow $ 250
Professional Expert $ 200
Student Member $ 50
Affiliate Member $ 50
(vi) A 50% discount on membership fees will apply to applicants residing in the SAARC countries.
Details for on-line payment of membership dues will be provided once the Executive Committee has approved an application.
(vii) Life membership as Fellow, Professional Expert and Affiliate member will also be considered and awarded at the discretion of the GPFN Executive Committee. Fees for Life membership are as follows:
Fellow $ 1250
Professional Expert $ 1000
Affiliate Member $ 500
(viii) Only full academic Fellows will have voting rights within the GPFN structure.
(ix) In the event that there are more than 10 Academic, Professional Experts and Student Members in any one region, then a local GPFN Chapter may be formed through local initiatives on the approval of the Executive Committee. In this case, all members, excepting Affiliates, will have voting rights for the purpose of determining local issues only.
